Slow Food Sundayat East Avenue Bakehouse
The Slow Food Movement was founded in Italy during the 1980s. With the motto of ‘Good, clean, fair food for everyone’, the movement promotes local and ethically sourced produce, runs biodiversity projects to save endangered foods and defend gastronomic traditions, and teaches people the pleasure of food and how to make good food choices.
We are the only Slow Food registered restaurant in Liverpool which in short means that from planting to plate we can tell you the provenance of our ingredients. Each month we hold a Slow Food Dinner at 6pm on Sunday (last Sunday of each month). The kitchen creates a six course blind taster menu and our sommelier carefully selects wines to pair with each course.
£35 per head/ £55 with wine pairing.
